While to many dogs are their best friend, to kids, dogs are family.

It's funny what details catch your eye in a photo.  I was impressed by the boy on the left's shoe.  In elementary school adults have a terrible time keeping kids with yard long shoelaces safely tied up.
I am so very tempted to just cut them off! What is with the fad for laces long enough to knit a sweater???  Back to my point - buttoned sneakers would be a cool invention that might catch someones fancy....a special tool needed to put on your shoes!  Steampunk your feet!

Little Speed Demon and Protector

I was thinking this photo could be put into the set of Nanny Dogs.

Curious about the child's walker I looked around.  While I didn't find it exactly, I bumped into this  blog about a Taylor Tot walker...and the gearhead who got his hands on it and restored it! 

My Aunt Annie...

My Aunt Annie came to mind when I saw this photo.  She had an old dog named Skippy.  When I went to visit, Aunt Annie might have a cold dinner for us, but Skippy always got a freshly cooked hot meal!
